The route
- Denver, CO → Cisco, UT — I-70 west through the Rockies and across the Utah desert.
- Cisco, UT → Sonora Pass, CA — cutting across Nevada on US-50, the “Loneliest Road in America.”
- Sonora Pass, CA → San Francisco, CA — over CA-108 and down through the Central Valley.
Total trip: about 20 hours of driving.
